Student Activities
Signature Programs

Marine Biology course at Woods Hole: The goal of this class is to give the students a field research experience in which they come to understand how to work as a team to conduct experimental studies in marine science. They will study the structure of intertidal communities, develop hypotheses, and then implement a research study that will provide baseline data for future work in the area.

Wilderness Program: Imagine hiking through the rugged peaks of New England’s White Mountains or cutting through the waves of the Atlantic on a sea kayak during your mod break. Under the guidance of professionally trained leaders, students can experience the thrill and challenge of such adventures through our longstanding Wilderness Program.

Integrated Studies: combining academic disciplines into thought-provoking courses.

Academic Program, Mod System: offers breadth, depth, and intensity you won’t find at any other high school. Within its 6x6 framework (six terms of six weeks each) — and with the guidance of faculty, advisors, and college counselors — you’ll choose from over 250 classes to craft a highly personalized schedule that prepares you for the rigor of college study, allows you to dive into current areas of interest, and invites you to explore new fields of study.

Robotics Design: students learn how to program, design, and build versatile and reliable robots using sensors to effectively inform robot actions.

STEAM: From Virtual to Reality: introduces students to the technological tools of programming or graphic communication (CAD) to help them create tangible solutions to real-life problems.
