Founded in 1881, Dana Hall School is an independent boarding and day school for girls grades 5-12. Dana Hall takes part in the Global Scholar's Certificate Program that has four components in order for students to obtain the certificate that includes, activities that expand a student's exposure to other cultures, courses and a program that incorporate curriculum that supports the global education mission, and travel of a sustained nature that immerses the student in another country. Dana Hall's School of Music is a renowned cultural resource for students to take advantage of with many concentrations to focus on. Every Spring, The Forum is held to examine a topic of relevance to girls and girls education to help themselves foster personal growth in themselves that will later contribute to their education. Prestigious institutions such as Boston University, the McLean Hospital, and Wellesley participate in these discussions.
